The Riverside Restaurant has always held a reputation for high culinary standards, delivered by a dedicated and passionate team who work tirelessly to meet the expectations of our guests, and to combine the gastronomy of our exquisite menus with an elegant dining experience, an intimate ambience, and unparalleled service.
Our Master Chef, John Whelan, utilises fresh local and European ingredients, freshly caught fish, and seasonally available game from the Chatsworth Estate, with creative flair and a delicate finesse that delivers classic & modern vibrant dishes to enthuse the senses, and inform the exquisite menus the Hotel is renowned for.
The Restaurant offers a pervasive sense of style and elegance, enhanced by antique features and candlelight. The original kitchen dining area dates back to the property of the 1600’s, and features a unique inglenook fireplace.
Your experience is further complimented by fine wines from our extensive and ever growing cellar, with rare & delicate tastes and bouquets awaiting your discovery - For our more discerning and regular visitors, we can also ensure that the vintage of your choice is always available and uncorked in anticipation. To complete your meal we recommend an after-dinner digestif from our selection of fine ports, cognacs and malts.
The Riverside Restaurant is ideal for intimate private dining, family gatherings, corporate events, wedding celebrations, and subject to availability can be booked exclusively.
The Restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner service, and also features lighter options such as fresh seafood and delicatessen style sandwiches. Afternoon tea is always available, with cakes, scones, fancies and sandwiches, all made daily by our Pastry Chef.
